Nathalie Pymm
Amersham, Buckinghamshire
Nathalie is an artist and printmaker working full time in her garden studio in Amersham, Buckinghamshire as well as tutoring small groups in both painting and printmaking. Her paintings are all carried out in acrylic paint and will experiment with many different textures and collage to add to her paintings. She is inspired by her travels, architecture, her cats and dog, objects as well as anything with bright colours. Nathalie will incorporate various mixed media in her paintings such as texture, papers, oil pastels, and anything else that she finds relevant to the painting. Her style is non traditional, in a semi abstract way of painting with full use of bright colours in each painting. Nathalie has been painting seriously since the birth of her children over 20 years ago.She has attended many adult learning classes when her children were small, and developed her present style over the last few years. She loves the various ways she can use acrylic paint; either as a wash over the collage materials so that they show through, or added on thickly with a palette knife or over textured mediums. Nathalie is a member of Buckinghamshire Art Society, Beds, Bucks & Herts Printmaking Society, the Visual Art Group and Beechwood Artists. She takes part every summer in the Bucks Open Studios where visitors can come and see her working in her garden studio. Her work has been in various exhibitions through Buckinghamshire and London and has sold her work to buyers from the UK and also America.
