Lorena Kloosterboer NAPA

Dutch-Argentine artist Lorena Kloosterboer (the Netherlands, 1962) creates contemporary hyperrealist still lifes, focusing on glass and ceramic pieces, often accompanied by flora and fauna. Lorena’s compositions are based on symbolism, allowing the artist an essential freedom of expression to convey her thoughts and beliefs.  Her paintings reveal a desire to capture the fascinating interactions between colors, light, shadows, textures and reflections, and unite them in visual poetry.

During her forty + year career Kloosterboer’s artwork has won numerous awards and has participated in over 150 gallery and 30 museum exhibitions in Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Kloosterboer has published a book entitled Painting in Acrylics, writes introductions for museum catalogues, and regularly publishes essays about artists and exhibitions.

Lorena Kloosterboer currently lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium.
